Installing the Push Pole Foot:
Because the Push Pole Foot can be installed on multiple different sizes of material some of the following steps would not apply depending on application.
Install on 1.5 inch OD x 1.25 inch ID Tube
To install the Push Pole Foot on the INSIDE of a 1.25 inch inner diameter tube, coat the portion of the Push Pole Foot with the retention rib with epoxy. Insert the Foot and allow to cure. (Optional) Once cured, drill a hole through the tube and foot at the epoxied location and insert a screw, roll pin, or pop rivet of appropriate length. Apply a small amount of epoxy into the two weep holes at the base of the foot to close off the foot to air.
Install on 1 inch OD
To install on 1 inch OD Rod or Tubing, apply a generous amount of epoxy onto the end rod and some inside the foot as well. When inserting the rod into the foot, there are two holes toward the base of the foot to allow air and excess epoxy to escape. Be aware of the gluing surface so you dont get epoxy on anything you dont want to. Insert the rod into the foot and rotate the rod left and right a few times to spread the epoxy. (Optional) Once cured, drill a hole through the tube and foot at the epoxied location and insert a screw, roll pin, or pop rivet of appropriate length.
Install on 3/4 inch OD
To install on 3/4 inch OD Rod or Tubing have at the ready the up sizing included ferrule. Apply a generous amount of epoxy onto the outside of the ferrule and some inside the foot as well. The provided fiberglass ferrule is used to upsize and center of the Push Pole Foot to fit 3/4 rod. The Push Pole Foot has a 3/4 inch recessed spot in the center of the push pole foot internal receptacle that the 3/4 inch rod should be inserted into as well. When inserting the rod OR ferrule into the foot, there are two holes toward the base of the foot to allow air and excess epoxy to escape. Be aware of the gluing surface so you dont get epoxy on anything you dont want to. Insert the ferrule as far as you can reach into the push pole foot. Apply epoxy to the end of the rod and some more inside the ferrule. Insert the rod into the ferrule and move the rod around a little to seat the rod into the 3/4 inch recessed receptacle. This will also spread the epoxy fully around the rod. With the parts inserted into the push pole foot, stand the foot up with the rod aimed upward. This will allow the epoxy to settle down and allow the insertion of more epoxy into the remaining void between the Push Pole Foot and the rod. (Optional) Once cured, drill a hole through the tube and foot at the epoxied location and insert a screw, roll pin, or pop rivet of appropriate length.
