Push Pole Ferrules! Extend a push pole or repair a broken one with this light weight but very strong internal ferrule.
In order to install this ferrule to join to pieces of tubing together, the inner diameter of the tube to be joined needs to be 1.25 or slightly larger. Using JB Weld Original Cold Weld Formula, two part epoxy that you have to hand mix, lather half of the outside of the ferrule and insert it into the larger tube. Be sure there is adequate adhesive to fill the space, but be prepared to deal with any extra that may ooze out. The epoxy becomes tacky within 30 minutes or so. You will need to lay the tube to be joined or repaired, with the ferrule sticking half out, down on a paper towel, card board, or even aluminum foil to catch any run out adhesive while the ferrule sets up in a straight orientation.
NOTE: If you do not take care during this step the assembly could end up not straight which is not ideal for push poles.
Once the ferrule is setup in the first larger tube, proceed with lathering up the other side of the ferrule and place it inside the second larger tube. Be sure that you set both sides down on something perfectly straight. You do not have long before the epoxy sets and within 4 hours the pole is fully set and should be ready to use.
Push Pole 1-1/4″ OD Ferrule, Fits inside to join two 1-1/2″ OD Round Tube to yield Push Pole lengths greater than 8′
