Starlink Antenna Mount Adapter Kit for UHD Series Mast or 1.5 inch OD Tube

$39.95$44.95

This adapter kit can be used on our UHD (Ultra Heavy Duty) Series of masts OR on individual pieces of 1.5 inch OD Round tube. This would also work on any other Tube that has an outer diameter of 1.5 inches.

*Some assembly is required* See detailed instructions below in the description.

Starlink Antenna Mount Adapter Kit

This kit is the best way to mount your Starlink dish on any pole that has an outer diameter of 1.5 inches.

We offer several different masts, that this will fit, to get you either 36 feet up, 18 feet up, or ~9 feet up with our Ultra Heavy duty series of Push-Up Masts.

Tools

You will need the following tools:
1x pack JB Weld 2-Part Epoxy (the Original Coldweld Formula)
1x Damp cloth or shop rag (used to remove surface dust from the fiberglass tube)
1x #3 Phillips head screw driver. (the #3 is a size reference for the size of the phillips head)
1x Tape Measure
1x Big Black Sharpie (used for marking the extended position of the tubes)

Assembling the Adapter – Applying the Adhesive

The adhesive does not need to be smeared all over the tube. We are going to make one thick bead of adhesive, one inch down, from one end of the tube. When the thick bead is done being applied to the tube, place the corresponding telescoping tube clamp onto the tube. Rotate the clamp a quarter turn, left and right, while slowly pressing the clamp onto the tube. This will smear the adhesive around plenty and this also avoids the largest potential problem of adhesive migrating its way up the tube and squeezing its way over the edge of the tube and inside the clamping area. This would make an impassible block of adhesive. Following these directions will completely avoid that. Right now the adhesive is still a little runny so be sure to set the tube down on a flat surface AND, before you let go of the tube and clamp, make sure the telescoping tube clamp is completely seated. If not, this could create a “binding point” because the clamp would not be aligned.

Once you have glued on all of the clamps set them all on that same flat surface to fully cure. Be safe and put a paper towel under the clamps so in the case you have a little “seepage” it will pool on the paper towel that can be thrown in the trash later. JB Weld 2 Part Epoxy (The Original Coldweld Formula) says you can start using your parts in about 4 hours, but I like to give it a full day.

Installing the Guy Ring

If your setup needs to use the guy ring, this is when you would install it. Do this first or you will need to disconnect everything later to install it. If you are using this on top of a taller mast, this guy ring will be at the perfect position to guy the structure.

Next grab the Starlink dish and the guy ring that goes along with the Starlink Adapter kit. We need to mark a line around the 1.5 inch diameter portion of the Starlink dish which will act as a point for the Starlink adapter kit to stop at. You will not want to let the Starlink Adapter Kit to go further up the Starlink dish so that the guy lines do not obstruct the movement of the dish in either direction. The bottom of the line should be no further than 5.25 inches up the shaft of the dish. I made the mark using a wrap of black electrical tape, but you could also use a marker. This is also when you would place the guy ring onto the shaft of the dish.

Sleeving the Data Cable Assembly Steps

1) Sleeve the data cable through the Starlink adapter so that the data cable comes through the other side with plenty of slack. Remember that inside the top of that Starlink adapter, the Starlink dish will need to go 5.25 inches inside it. Be sure that the Starlink adapter is on the mast with this space in mind.

2) Plug the data cable into the Starlink dish. At this point, you will need some very sticky tape. We are going to take an extra step in helping secure the data cable inside its receptacle. We will make 2 or more wraps down the tapered portion of the Starlink dish shaft back up and around the data cable and attach it back to the tapered portion. See pictures below:

3) Grab the Starlink dish and place it into the Starlink Adapter down till the top of the clamp is at the base of the line we made on the Starlink dish’s shaft.

This completes the installation of the adapter onto the dish.
