This UHF female cable end connector is one of several thousand RF products available from Max-Gain Systems, Inc. This cable end connector goes on using the crimping method of installation. A crimping tool with an appropriate sized die is required for proper installation. A solder hole is provided on the side of the center pin in order to allow for a soldered connection. It is designed to fit the following coax types

This connector is made from a Solid Brass body that is precision machined and plated with Silver for superior performance and value. This UHF female connector has a PTFE dielectric and a silver plated brass center pin. The UHF female has 16 individually machined “V’s”. This is to ensure a perfect seat of any UHF male (PL-259), to this connector, every time.


Strip back your coax using a coax stripper or a sharp knife. Cut through the black jacket approximately 14.7 mm (0.578 inches) from the freshly cut end without cutting through the braid/shield. Next, cut through braid/shield 5.7 mm (0.224 inches) from the end without cutting through the dielectric. Finally, cut through the dielectric 4 mm (0.157 inches) from the end without cutting into or scoring the center conductor. At this point, all of your coax preparation should be finished.

Make sure your center conductor is straight. Put the center pin onto the center conductor of the coax. On the side of the center pin is a small hole that is provided for a solder connection. Use the solder method on the center pin whenever able. The crimping method is available, but is less secure than the chemical bonding of the solder method. Use the 0.10 inch (2.54 mm) Hex Die provided in the 7505-DIE-400 in conjunction with the 7505-HANDLE to fully make this crimp connection. ONLY CRIMP THE AREA OF THE PIN THAT IS OVER THE CENTER CONDUCTOR. crimping anywhere else on the center pin will crush it making it less functional and possibly not fit into the body of the connector.

Once the center pin is on the coax SLIDE THE FERRULE OVER THE COAX! This is necessary in order to crimp it later in the installation. With the Ferrule on the coax, begin to pull back the exposed braid/shield over the black jacket of the coax.

Insert the coax with the installed pin into the body of the connector. The pin will fit into a receptacle inside the body of the connector. Push the coax into the connector until you fully seat the pin into the receptacle and braid/shield is close to the knurled portion of the connector. Fold the braid/shield back over the connector body knurled portion. With the braid over the back of the connector slide the ferrule, we put on the coax earlier, over the braid the back of the connector. Be sure to apply constant pressure on the coax into the connector to ensure it is staying in position.

Use the 0.429 inch (10.89 mm) Hex Die provided in the 7505-DIE-400 in conjunction with the 7505-HANDLE to crimp the braid/shield in between the ferrule and body of the connector. Be sure the crimp is fully achieved on the entire knurled portion of the connector body. The constant pressure provided by the crimped ferrule onto the braid keeps the connector held tightly onto the coax. The knurled crimped portion on the connector provides the needed grip on the braid of the coax to resist separation.
