UHF to BNC Adapters

The UHF connector is by far the most popular type used in Amateur Radio. The UHF male (plug) is known as "PL-259" and the female (jack) is known as "SO-239." Typically used in applications to ~400MHz.

BNC connectors are made in both 50 and 75 ohm versions, which are to be matched with cabling of the same characteristics. The BNC, originally designed for military use, was widely accepted in RF and video applications due to the simple design and quick connect and disconnect capability. Low reflection to ~4 GHz.
