These are the heaviest-duty vacuum relays we have EVER seen in this (DPDT) contact configuration! Each of the two sets of contacts are rated 75 amps, and 20kv (23 kv peak)! This IS an RF rated relay! Brand new, unused stock. Many of our customers have paralleled the two sets of contacts to double the current-handling capability of this relay, effectively yielding a SPDT configuration at 150 amps! Ceramic body for extra ruggedness and current handling capability. Diameter, not including terminals, is 1.5 inches. Diameter of flange is 2.44 inches.  Height, (overall) is 4 inches. Gigavac G2SPD DPDT vacuum relay

These new relays by Gigavac are a perfect replacement part for the popular Kilovac H-16 and the Jennings RB-3 double pole, double pole relays, which have recently been very difficult to find due to the military's policy of destruction of all electronic surplus. The new Gigavac G2SPD is an improved version of the Kilovac H-16 and the Jennings RB-3, in that the ratings of both sets of contacts are 50 amps instead of the 30 amp ratings on both of the glass relays, and the peak voltage rating on BOTH sets of contacts on the Gigavac is 15 kv , as opposed to 12 kv on the top contacts and 6 kv on the bottom contact on both of the glass relays.

Gigavac accomplished this by using rugged ceramic construction, and by the larger spacing between the bottom set of contacts and the chassis. (See the larger diameter ceramic band at the base of the Gigavac relay.) Contact terminals are solder-pot type, for direct soldering of wire conductors.  Overall height above the chassis is 3/4 inch taller for the Gigavac compared to the Jennings and the Kilovac types. The coil (which extends below the chassis) is shorter on the Gigavac than on the Kilovac and Jennings.. threaded portion is about 5/16 inch long on the Gigavac, and about 3/4inch on the Kilovac and Jennings.

Supplied with threaded base mount, with two mounting nuts and lock-washer. Standard coil is 26.5 vac, and is 285 ohms. A 12 vdc coil (60 ohms) is also now available as an option. If you need 12 vdc coil, please specify.  Rated 20 milliseconds operate time, 8 milliseconds release. 1,000,000 operations rated life.
